For this Blog Assignment, I choose to explore the resource called Early Childhood Australia. It is comparable to the NAEYC organization in the United States. Here is the link http://www.earlychildhoodaustralia.org.au/
Early Childhood Australia has current topics on their work, professional development, parent resources, publications, becoming a member, and ECA shop. This organization advocates for children from birth to eight years old to ensure excellence, social justice and fairness related to education and care (Early Childhood Australia Inc., 2020)
The organization has many resources available to support children thrive. It is important to empower families so it is a great site for caregivers to have access so they can educate themselves to raise their children in a healthy, nurturing environment.
One new insight I have learned about early childhood from exploring this website is the importance that another country has an organization that is equivalent to the United States and are supporting young children by being a voice for them and are committed to supporting young children and their families be successful.

Hi Jamie,
ReplyDeleteI also looked at the ECA. I'm glad this site has a so many resources for parents and childcare providers. Th more information is there for parents and families, the more support they will feel when it comes to raising their children.
Hello Jamie,
ReplyDeleteI agree their corporation is similar to the United States NAEYC. Both NAEYC and Early Childhood Australia (ECA) have the child's best interest at heart. I just wish NAEYC would have resources beyond Early childhood for children same as does ECA. They assist with learning tools that children will need in adulthood such as, how to buy a house, buy stocks, or balance finances as they get older. Hopefully this too can come to fruition with NAEYC.
Hello Jamie,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading about the website you chose. Australia is one of the top countries to highlight what is best for the children. They are strong in advocacy and giving the children a voice. I liked seeing the code of ethics they follow it is inspiring to read how they support the teachers and the children alike.
