Sharing Web Resources continued

Zero to Three is relevant to my current professional development in my ways. The organization has resources available to caregivers, professionals, and individuals who support young children and their families. I find the resources very beneficial and informative.

Zero to Three has a designated area called Policy and Advocacy which supports how you can take action to support critical connections for infants and toddlers (Zero to Three, 2020). There is an article on Child Welfare which discusses how young babies are vulnerable to the effects of maltreatment and the effects of moving between different foster care placements (Zero to Three, 2020).

The website adds to my understanding of how economists, neuroscientists, or politicians support positive social change through the early childhood field in a variety of ways. They have a topic on brain development that informs readers on how to make healthy brain connections with your infant every day (Zero to Three, 2020). It also discusses facts about brain development between birth to five years old and how the brain is influenced by many factors such as relationships, experiences and the environment ( Zero to Three, 2020).

  1. Jamie, I also am intrigued by the Zero to Three organization. I hope to be able to go to one of there national conferences. Learning how the brain develops at a young age becomes very beneficial when I'm working with two year olds.
